How to Activate eSIM on iPhone & Android

Before You Start
  • A stable internet connection (WiFi or strong 4G/5G)
  • An eSIM-compatible, unlocked device. Check here if your device is compatible
  • Your carrier’s eSIM QR code or activation details

Installing eSIM on iPhone (iOS 17 & Later)

Option 1: QR Code Installation

  1. Open the Camera app and scan the QR code.
  2. For iOS 17.4+, you can also install eSIM via the eSIMo app.
  3. Tap Continue, wait for activation (up to 10 minutes), then tap Done.
  4. (Optional) Label your eSIM for easy identification.
  5. Configure settings:
  • Set Default Line to Primary
  • Enable iMessage & FaceTime
  • Set Mobile Data to eSIM
  • Enable Data Roaming: Go to Settings > Mobile Data > Select eSIM > Toggle Data Roaming ON

Option 2: Manual Installation

  1. Go to Settings > Mobile Data > Add eSIM > Use QR Code > Enter Details Manually.
  2. Enter the SMDP Address and Activation Code from your carrier.
  3. Tap Continue, wait for activation, then tap Done.

Installing eSIM on Android (Samsung, Pixel & Others)

Option 1: QR Code Installation

  1. Open the Camera app, scan the QR code, and tap Add Plan OR
  2. Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager > Add eSIM > Scan QR Code.
  3. Tap Add, wait for activation, then tap Done.
  4. Configure settings:
  • Set primary SIM for calls/messages
  • Enable Data Roaming: Go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Toggle Data Roaming ON
  • Set Network Operator to Automatic

Option 2: Manual Installation

  1. Go to Settings > Connections > SIM Manager.
  2. Tap Add eSIM > Enter Details Manually.
  3. Enter the Activation Code from your carrier and tap Activate.
